Event Description
In this 2-hour taster session, you will learn the basics of yarn spinning using an Ashford Joy spinning wheel. You will explore a range of spinning techniques to create plied and novelty yarns. A variety of fibres will be available to try, including wool, raw unwashed fleece, and cellulose or plant-based fibres. Please let me know in advance if you have any specific requests, such as plant-based fibres only.
This session is suitable for complete beginners, as well as those who have experience spinning with a drop spindle and would like to try spinning on a wheel.
